Upon opening May's issue of Time Magazine, I read about a philosophy geared towards investing in commerce in order to help the recently earthquake-stricken people of Haiti recover. Soon enough, I was on the phone with the man I had read about - New York native, Mesh Gelman. Understanding Mesh’s genuine motives and goals for Haiti proved to be inspiring, and coincided with the release of our Restore Haiti Campaign.

This creative, 36-year-old New Yorker studied in Jerusalem at the Advanced Center for Talmudic Studies. His parents were in the education business and opened Mesh's eyes to the value in impacting people's lives through education. A major lesson Mesh caught onto is that "aid will run out [but] commerce is sustainable." This lesson evolved into the charitable business, Blanket America. Mesh hinges his years of experience on the philosophy that "success transpires when you understand that no task is too small and you are disciplined to reinvent and avoid complacency."

When we are introduced to like-minded individuals we always begin to dream of ways to work along side of them. Learning about Gelman's story has made such a synergy reality, and we are optimistic for what the future has in store.
