This October 8th-15th, we released our highly anticipated Customizable Petite Market Bag in Black with Joy Cho, the world’s largest Pinterest account and the Founder of Oh Joy! We’re only going to release this bag for one week all year, and every tote purchased will provide one day of diapers for a baby living in poverty in America, thanks to the non-profit Baby2Baby. With your support we've helped over 3,734 American families in poverty to have a day's worth of diapers (2,409 online & 1,325 wholesale 'to date')!
What’s the cause? Who is Baby2Baby?
This customizable Petite Market Bag in Black is being realized in a one-week, limited-edition run Oct. 8-15 in order to help Baby2Baby, a nonprofit that provides kids living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and basic necessities (learn more here). Sadly, 1 in 3 families in America can’t afford diapers for their babies. It’s such a simple need, yet so many people are forced to choose between diapers or food, and that’s not okay. That's why we're partnering with them so that every bag sold will help Baby2Baby provide a day’s worth of diapers to children in need.
Why only one week all year?
Apolis is B-Corp certified and our bags are made at a specific co-op in Bangladesh that is committed to providing above-Fair Trade wages, annual profit dividends, and a retirement fund for hundreds of mothers — which means that quantities are often limited. We’re currently in the process of expanding our production capabilities, but we’re committed to doing so in a way that doesn’t put pressure on these factories to cut corners in quality or ethical sourcing, though that means we can’t offer all our bags at all times of the year. Watch how this bag is breaking a poverty cycle.
Coming Soon: Waitlist to customize online next year and the exclusive authorized Apolis wholesale partners across America where you can find the Petite Market Bag in black for Baby2Baby.org this November.
