Two years after opening Apolis: Common Gallery, we're pleased to respond to our strongest international following of Apolis in Tokyo, Japan. Early this year we shared with Journal Standard our traveling installation, Apolis: Nomad Market. The goal of our Nomad Market is to bring the inspiring talents & stories of our global artisans to a local marketplace. Apolis: Nomad Market was unveiled in October 2012 within Steven Alan's Chelsea Annex in New York City. Shortly there after the installation took a pit stop in Brooklyn within Hickoree's, Floor Two. Nomad Market then temporarily headed out of New York and kicked off 2013 in Virginia within Need Supply's Richmond flagship. The warm summer weather lead Nomad Market back to New York and inside Tenet's Southampton location. Late summer of this year, both Apolis and Akihito Umebayashi, Journal Standard mens buyer, agreed that bringing Nomad Market to Japan would be an ideal plan to kick off the new year.
We are honored to partner with Journal Standard's Shibuya-ku location for the 2013 holiday season and throughout the new year. The Nomad Market will remain in Tokyo through the coming months and will then move onto a new destination. Keep your eyes peeled for Apolis: Nomad Market in a neighborhood near you.
