On August 25th we were proud to welcome our first skill-building workshop at Apolis: Community Centre located in Soho, New York. The goal of our workshops are to invite Apolis Nomads to bring their inspiring talents and stories to our local community with a hands-on workshop and Q&A session.
Our first gathering was hosted by WSJ contributor and author of "Profit & Purpose", Kyle Westaway. Kyle shared his experience and tips with a short workbook fill-in on "How to Get Published." Westaway spent 90-minutes leading a dialog about his key to success of publishing his story. He shared with us the importance of creating a supportive community, listening to your audience, and the discipline behind tirelessly writing & re-writing. It was a memorable evening that finished with a stimulating Q&A discussion from over 20+ guests that took the time to invest in themselves and their writing. Why not make these workshops free? We want to compensate the people that lead these workshops to ensure the programs years from now stays engaging and our lead by people that take incredible ownership over the content and your time.
Special thanks to Kyle, the Apolis team and everyone that attended our first gathering at Apolis: Community Centre. The following photostory by Ray Neutron showcases highlights from the evening. We hope you will join us for our upcoming events - all of which will always be listed on this page. Or feel free to contact our Retail Manager in Soho, Benny Quinonez, for a personal invite.
